QS Stars, which evaluates universities around the world based on 14 categories that determine the quality of basic qualifications in the fields of education, is a globally respected research and rating system that measures performance by investigating both basic institutional standards and the competencies of institutions in their fields of expertise.

In 2023, as a result of the evaluation of performance measurements carried out by the QS Stars rating system, which evaluates universities according to international standards, Istanbul Technical University was once again awarded “five stars” and confirmed its academic competence, institutional quality, and high standards in its 250th anniversary.
