Raising awareness
ITU Biodiversity, Conservation of Ecosystems and Sustainable Use Commission work to maintain and support both land and aquatic ecosystems of the campus. The Commission prevented the removal of dead trees fallen on the ITU Pond and prepared a signboard to inform campus people on the importance of dead trees in nature.
No Mow May
ITU Biodiversity, Conservation of Ecosystems and Sustainable Use Commission collaborate with university to not mow the lawn around campus during May 2022 and May 2023 in order to let flowers bloom and pollinate, and to renew the seed bank for a healthy ecosystem.
